Caution notice in respect of unauthorized use of Chadha & Chadha’s name, trade mark and address by third parties in emails including e-mail alleging infringement of copyright

It has been brought to the attention of the firm that certain unidentified individuals are sending copyright infringement notices via email to certain entities/ companies. Such unidentified individuals are unauthorizedly and illegally using our firm’s name, logo, contact details including address, phone number and website to create a fake letterhead over the said emails giving a false impression that the email has been sent on behalf of our firm “Chadha & Chadha, An Intellectual Property Law Firm”.
The emails appear to have been sent via e-mail address having “@gmail.com” domain, wherein our firm’s name is being displayed as the sender's name.
The public at large is hereby cautioned that such email(s) have not been sent on behalf of the Firm nor has the Firm authorized or permitted such unidentified individuals to send such emails. The Firm is taking appropriate legal action against these individuals for unscrupulously using the Firm’s name, trade mark and other details and impersonation. The members of the public are requested to exercise due diligence and caution if they are in receipt of any such communication from unauthorized individuals and are requested not to engage with/ respond to such emails.
The public at large is hereby further cautioned that such email(s) may have unverified web addresses or links, which might be a phishing or hacking attempt and you are requested to exercise caution and refrain from clicking on any such link.
The Firm disclaims all liabilities which may arise on account of engagement with such unauthorized emails/individuals.
Members of the public having any knowledge/ information of such use of the Firm’s name, logo, trade mark or any other particulars by such unidentified individuals are requested to kindly contact the undersigned:
